Have you ever had to take your PC in to the repair shop and seen the prices they are charging? They run from $100 to $150 per hour. I think this is a bit pricey. I don't think you should have to pay these prices and still not gain any real knowledge in the process.
What normally happens is you take your computer to a big retail store and hand it over saying that you don't know what the problem is and to please let you know ASAP what the problem is and the price to fix it. Unfortunately, they are also working on 50 other computers and don't have the time to give you the personal attention that you really should get. I also think that in the process you should gain an understanding of what is being done and perhaps not have to take it in to have it repaired again, doing it yourself is so much more rewarding. After waiting several days you finally decide to call, because, let's face it, most people need their computer, just to find out that they are very disorganized, they don't know where your computer is right this moment but they will call you back soon. I would wonder if they even know which one is mine. In the final outcome, you possibly pay more than the computer is worth for the repair and it takes a week to 2 weeks to get it back. Sometimes they even compound the problem because they don't explain what exactly they did. I WILL NOT DO THIS.
